ACA Multicultural and Social Justice Counseling Competencies
The American Counseling Association's Governing Council endorsed the The Multicultural and Social Justice Counseling Competencies (MSJCC) in July of 2015. The competencies place emphasis on the role of intersectionality of identities and the inherent privilege/marginalization dynamics of interpersonal relations. In an effort to meet best practice standards and establish multicultural competency, it is suggested that counselors review and implement such practices with culturally diverse clients.
